Hi all,
A while back I asked if anyone know of any reasons as to why
Mediawiki, MythTV, Bugzilla etc etc could not run on Firebird. The
response was that no one knew of any impediments. I contemplated the
work, stared at my navel a bit, vacillated some more then promptly
forgot it.

Recently someone posted to a mediawiki list that they were in
the process of porting Mediawiki from MySQL to MS SQL so I asked if he
could document the process in some form as I would like to port to
Firebird. Well here it is.

I'll keep an eye on this and hopefully in the not too distant future,
Firebird will be able to add Mediwiki to its list of supported apps.
