Paradox is not fragile because the people that created it are inepts;
it is mainly because different processes from different computers have
to share write access to database files across a network. You can't
possibly build anything robust on these premises (MHO, others' of
course may vary). I'm not sure why you can't have a C/S solution.
Since you plan to run the executable from a shared network folder, you
have a working network environment as a requisite. Installing a
Firebird server on that machine wouln't be much more hassle that
sharing a folder. Perhaps you can elaborate on why you cannot.
