Forgive me if I simply need a reality check. I'm pulling my hair out
at this point.

Searching through this list and doing a lot of Googling I see a lot of
references to a ib/firebird interface in PHP, but have not found any
documentation on how to enable this or use this. Am I just blind?

I have LAMP app I've been working on, but a switch from MySQL is
highly desirable for several reasons.

OS: CentOS 4 (RedHat Enterprise Linux 4, repackaged)
Platform: 1U rackmount server (P4, 3GHz)
