Unfortunately a lot of managers think like this, I have had success in
getting several companies to convert to firebird, last year I had a contract
at Reuters (uk) they used Interbase 6.5 (then moved to 7), it was fine for
me to use FB in development because they didn't have enough licenses but
they simply refused to deploy FB because it didn't have a big name behind
it. Go Figure!!
