I see this as a Star Trek reference - but maybe thats just me.

Firebird - the Enterprise choice

Firebird JDBC - the Enterprise-E choice
(the "e-choice"... get it ;-)

Firebird v3 - the Voyager choice (we obviously get a newer
ship when the Vulcan's join in :-)

So our code words for things like MS-SQL would be the borg
and MySQL would probably be tribbles, although that could be
unfair.
