Hi all,
In a few weeks, we'll be taking delivery of two Dual Xeon machines with 6
disc U360 10,000RPM SCSI drives with gigabit NIC's in each one.
Sure, they're not the latest thing, but I'm in charge of 'burning them in'.

I'd like to help out testing Firebird 2, so if there's a great test sequence
that people would like run, I can do it.
Perhaps it'd just be a good time to do comparisons in performance between
Firebird versions 1.0.2, 1.5, and 2beta.

I'll probably be doing a small test of 7 million residential phone numbers,
just because I've got the data handy, and testing the now string matching
algorithm in 2beta, and a few other ones.

Anyone got any specific areas of Firebird they want compared between
versions, or on reasonably large datasets?
