Dear Firebird community,

For the past month we have been testing a newswire service dedicated
to Firebird. You can find the newswire at:

The goal of the newswire is to provide everyone who needs to convince
a customer or boss to go with Firebird a continous stream of relevant
news. Individual newsitems can be about Firebird itself, about
Firebird tools and application stacks and even about other databases
if the news is relevant to Firebird.

Individual stories are grouped into topics recognizable by an icom.
There is a short title and a 3 to 6 line summary in english of the
news. Longer items can be continued on a "read comments" sub-page.
Readers can post comments should they want to. A read more link takes
the reader to the location of the original story. Links to orginal
stories in another language than english are acceptable, but we would
like most links to be readable by a global readership.
