Shouldn't some kind of news, such as major releases status, be sticky?
A new user that visits Firebird's home page expects to find references to all main unstable and stable releases. How is he supposed to know about 2.0 (alpha) existence?
Check as an exemple the "Latest releases" box at http://www.postgresql.org/
or the whole home page at http://httpd.apache.org/
Just my 0.02e.
