I get between 100-200 spam emails a day on this account, and my spam filter
is on the mail server. I have long since given up checking the spam bin for
the odd mail that has been picked up by mistake. It only takes a weekend and
a couple of busy days and there is a thousand of the things.
It's my own fault, I have owned this domain and used this address practically
since 'domains' were invented, and I use this email address for everything
(mail, lists, newsgroups etc) It worked fine for years, but it is only in
the past year or so that spam has become a problem.
To be honest, in the past year or so, I have all but given up on email, and
most of my commication with friends and family is done via Jabber, which is
even more convient as there are Jabber clients for everything, from my PC, my
PDA right down to my phone. The only thing I use email for these days are
really mailing lists.
