Maybe Python (www.python.org) could be a good choice.

There are programmers who understand objects and programmers who
don't, regardless of their language of choice. If I had the clarity of
pascal (you know, little things like putting the name of a function
before its result type), the simplicity of Java and the expressive
power of C++ together in one language I would be happy. ;-)
