Well, that's not how I read it at all. I read it as a fairly apt
commentary on where Microsoft was heading, with Longhorn and its aggressive
tactics against competitors, especially open source ones. (And yes,
unfortunately, there were some errors there, like saying Konqueror was
based on Mozilla). I didn't learn anything new, either, but not every
thought-provoking article introduces new things.

But he was NOT saying "buckle under" - I read it as a wake-up call to
organisations to take care and use intelligence in the software choices
they make now, to avoid being forced into the Microsoft-controlled world
that Longhorn is designed for.

I did suggest reading it all the way through.
