Hello,
I'm confused seeing Firebird 1.5 binaries for Linux under a section
titled 386 but having 686 in the file name. Are these binaries for 686
only? Or can I use them on an AMD K6-2, which every thread I've read
says really only qualifies as a 586?
firebird-linux-i386
1.5.0-Release
FirebirdCS-1.5.0.4290-0.i686.tar.gz
FirebirdSS-1.5.0.4290-0.i686.tar.gz
Also what is the difference between FirebirdCS and FirebirdSS ?
What does the CS and SS stand for?
And if a 686 is a minimum requirement, why is there no web page listed
with System Requirements? This could at least go in the FAQ list.
Thanks!
Mugsy
