Just a small correction. It's not 700, but ~5800 users who signed up.
It's an impressive number when you consider that sign up still doesn't
buy them anything :-)

We would handle 700 user accounts without problems, but current mechanism
doesn't scale well as it means reading and parsing single text file which
for those 5800 users is about 700k in size.
