Helen,
I can only seen your reply, I can't tell who you are replying to.
Anyway...

The issue that made me leave ConTEXT was that it insisted on deleting
my text files when I double clicked them if they were in a network
folder. Not a pleasant experience. A search with Google revealed that
I was not the only one with that problem, so I simply ditched the
editor. There are many great text editors out there anyway.

IB_SQL doesn't offer much more than basic functionality that every GUI
admin and management tool must have, for what I recall. If you take
out the query forms and layouts features, I think that FR is going to
have to have pretty much everything there is in IB_SQL. Possibly with
a better user inferface. ;-)
Lite doesn't mean bare. Packing features without making the tool look
bloated, that's the challenge! IBE and DBW are on a completely
different level, but IB(O)Console and IB_SQL should definately be
considered in the same camp as FR.

Since I haven't seen yet a feature or even a requisite list of
requirements for such a GUI tool coming from the project, I guess that
the direction one looks is entirely subjective. ;-)

Mind you, we at FR do think we know what requisites such a tool needs
to have - and we are building one. But we can't decide for the project
of course. FR is going to live long anyway, we hope.

Ciao
