I do not know Interclient but I use Ant in Windows all the time.
It works fine on Windows too.

Maybe you have to learn a bit more of a new tool (Ant) to fix
something in the (XML based) build script... but I assure you
you will get addicted to Ant. You can do incredible things with
that thing (besides building projects).
