My opinion is like what several said recently, I finally also prefer
the one with the closed circle, like you use it on your doc samples.
You currently use a copy of my very first attempt. I made some minor
cosmetic corrections quite a while ago, maybe you could put that
newer version, the bird is more pretty ;)
Also that newer logo version uses a stronger red at the bottom, which
corresponds to the red of the little arrows.

:) True. Using modified Firebird logos (mirrored, various colours) is
a misuse of the trademark and also they're not mnemonic, not
intuitively clear in their meaning for site navigation.
I agree using plain triangles is maybe not the ultimate solution,
maybe something more arrow-like (a leaner arrow) might be better.
Anyway, the navigation icons can be changed anytime. From these, I
prefer the triangle ones...
I somehow don't quite understand the functionaity: What's the
difference between TOC and TOP? They seem to do the same thing. On
the first page I guess there shouldn't be a TOP one, since there
isn't anything further up?
