I've seen several comments over the last few months that and
ODBC driver is a required part of Firebird.
I've never used one, even in the old days, so could someone
explain where it is used and why one would want to hide the
power of Firebird? I'm assuming here that ODBC has similar
restrictions to BDE which has already been proved to be of
little use for accessing Firebird.
( I managed that without saying Interbase - do we have a
legal problem ?)
