In short, YES.

Firebird is a good engine. In the last few weeks I have pointed three other
companies it's way and they are in the process of switching to it. Word of
mouth is worth more than flashy sites, when you look at the supporting
packages that are already available. There are good reasons for a 'marketing'
site, but it's absence is not hindering market penetration.

The last thing we want is the tail wagging the dog, that is how we got here
in the first place! If we want to be dictated to we can go back to Borland.
