Hi!

I am new to Interbase, previously worked extensively with MS SQL
server and Sybase.

I am evaluating Interbase for small/medium sized web projects with
Java (installed IB 6.0 today).

I need some basic information regarding Interbase. I am sorry my
question are very basic and many of you may mind...

1. What is the default User Name and password to connect with local
server.
2. From Interbase 6.0 client Interface, it seems that IB is not GUI
tools enriched as MS SQL server and Sybase (I am just evaluting open
source ver so not sure). Are there any database management software
available? I'll preffer some freewares.


Any other tip you would like to give?
