Who cares? :-) InterBase(TM) is IgnoredBase since v4 onwards. This was the
last version that CASE vendors paid attention (XCASE being the exception),
the last time an independent, serious comparison with other engines was
done, the last time some attention was drawn in the market, the last time
Borland spent a lot of effort on great architectural changes (SuperServer
was created for good or bad), etc.
