It's not that it is hurting Inprise, it is just he was expecting to be paid for
his work, and now that he is not going to be paid, why should he release the
product without getting paid?

If you worked hard on producing a product, just to find out that you are never
going to be paid for it, would you want to give it away?

I personally understand Jim's reluctance to release the code and I also
understand that others are working hard to buy the rights so that it can be
released.
