Hej,

Are you running the final binaries, or the beta? And I guess you used the
Windows version for the Server.

When you have installed IB it should be started as a services automaticly.
But as far as I remember it Server Manager and WISQL, replaced by
IBConsole!? Now I get flamed for answering a question, with my head
elsewhere :-) sorry.

Try IBConsole, with SYSDBA and masterkey.

Subject: [IBDI] Installation problems


Hi,

As a complete newbie on Interbase and Delphi - I'm not sure whether
this is the right place to ask - please advice me if necessary.

I'm installing Interbase 6 server/client and try to get it up
and running.

Planning to walk thru the Tutorial, I try to start the InterBase
Server Manager.

The screen doesn't look like the one in the doc. My InterBase
Server Manager just talks about Startup Mode - Root Directory
and Status.

Well - could be the Server Manager instead of the InterBase Server
Manager?

Trying to start this I get an err msg. like "The procedure entry
point isc_query_service could not be found in the DLL-library gds32.dll"
(Translated from Danish...)

Uninstall/reinstall has been tried.

I will be most grateful for any help!
