Is it just me (and it often is, <sigh>), or does anyone else percieve some
parallels between Survivor and the ongoing IB OSS saga?
How about a similar series based on open sourcing a software project, with
multiple conflicting goals:
- removal of "interim" from a title
- stock options. money. power.
- recovery of a long lost software child
- altruistic evangelism to spread the word about stellar technology
- Left coast vs Right coast, Continent vs Continent (but nobody vs. good
old Canada)
- C vs Delphi, Java vs everthing
- ODBC, IBX, IBO and the BDE slugging it out
- Borland, Microsoft, Oracle, Sun: all with vested interests
- Windows vs xNIX
