I want to make one thing very clear. I have never said that people should
use posgres over interbase. I have pointed out during some discussions
about the features of postgres that people might consider implementing in
interbase. I think it's perfectly valid to point out feature differences.

As for your other point you are right. I don't care weather or not IB dies
or lives. I am a customer and as a customer or a consumer I have many
choices for my database needs. During the fist phase of my database search
I considered IB for about 15 minutes. When I found out it costs more then
MS-SQL server I promptly dropped it from my list of possible databases.
When I heard the Borland decided to make it open source I promptly added it
back to my list and kept monitoring it's process. This is why I am here at
all.

I am here because I believe in open source. I also believe that open source
products are better for my company then non open source products. I
currently rely on several open source products to run my business and do
what I can when I can to help out each project. So far this project is
nothing like any other open source project I have seen. This is
understandable given the birthing pains but like I said in a previous email
I am running out of time.

Your posts seem to indicate that the final end users and their opinions
don't matter to you? Is this right? Perhaps it's the opinion of potential
users that you don't care about? Either way I think this is a mistake.

Right now by any objective critera what you have is mess. This mess is not
my fault and in fact has hurt me.
