I think your licence is an important one. It was worrying me that NewBase code
might just get merged into OldBase code at Inprise. Which would rather dilute
the purpose of the exercise.

I wrote elsewhere that InterBase was worthless to Inprise without the InterBase
community behind it. It was worthless last December and now it is worthless
again.

My predictions for the week are:

- some resignations of key InterBase staff from Inprise.

- this time the battle is fought publicly on the Internet and in the wider
computer press, not privately on 'internal' Borland newsgroups.

- Inprise recants as it finally sees that it has been unbelievably stupid as it
starts to see the fallout.

Well, OK, the first two are likely to come true. The third? I can dream, can't
I?
