The affected applications are:
1) PC Anywhere
2) MS SQL server 7.0
My guess would be any product from Microsoft and third parties that use
MSVCRT.DLL.
The version of the dll installed by the Interbase installation is really
old.
Another way would be to install the DLL in a local folder rather than the
system folder. ...
The applications in question won't run. The moment you try an launch them
they bomb out with an error message stating the entry point blah, blah was
not found.
