I tried it with PHP3 today, it doesn't work either. It will connect but
it won't retrieve data from a query. I've looked at the code quite a bit,
but it doesn't look anything like the examples from the API guide (I know,
I'm weak, but I've got to start somewhere) so I think they may have
abstracted database access out somehow. I'll probably try to recruit some
help from the PHP camp with this one.

Sorry :-) But with I had to consider all cases - even nut-cases ;-).

I suspect that the fix will be fairly straight forward. Probably a
difference in calling protocols between PHP 3 & 4.

If a project does get underway, I will be glad to join in where I can -
I'm a bit snowed under right now though...Certainly if it has not been
done by the time I get round to wanting to use PHP4, I will jump in
boots and all. How's that for an indefinite time-frame?
