How is this supposed to be viewed on ordinary 15" 800x600 monitor?

There must be some way to fit all information on less space.

My proposal: left side buttons could be put after the heading banner
horizontally in two rows. They could even be simple text links ot some
text-style [buttons]. The freed space can be used for the right-side
column. The top banner should be cut a little as well.

My 2 cents.
