Actually, encrypted transactions over the web are often far from it. The big
boys that are running their own web servers with T3's and such don't have a
problem. However, most smaller web sites that are hosted by someone else may
have SSL encryption but then the HTML form's contents are simply emailed right
back to them in unencrypted form. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of
encryption. If IBDI decides to take credit cards over the web, there needs to
be a secure way to transfer the information from the web server back to where
it is charged.
