If you wish to support IB, in the Delphi arena, you have various options
available to you.
You can contact Jason Wharton and see if he needs any help with any parts of his
code base.
You can contact Patrick Okeffe and ask him if there are any module extensions
needed for his marathon product.....
On your own, get a function listing from a spreadsheet manual and start writing
delphi UDF's so that Interbase can boast the same millions of functions that the
other DBMS's have - and it will stop others from bloating the code when the
feature is already available as a UDF.
We need to make sure the purity of the base code does not get polluted, best way
of doing this is to head off such 'helpful' people by beating them to it, only,
not by touching the IB code base.
best regards
