Helen and all,
Oracle has a product called oracle 8i lite I think. check this url for more
details:
http://www.oracle.com/mobile/o8ilite/index.html?/mobile/o8ilite/iconnect.htm
l
I hope this helps. These are stripped down versions of RDBMS's (I suspect
what lives on the palm is likely a flat file though) that would have
tremendous value in my area which is patient-oriented medical research.
Bedside data collection on a handheld with easy updates to the central
database and downloads of patient schedules task lists etc for nurses would
be very very useful.
The palm devices are gaining momentum and I suspect it won't be **too** long
before they could in fact run IB as it is. But of course, IB full
capabilities are not needed on a palm device which typically has only one
user.
