Hi,
Is there anyone who wants to make a research on these:
-what software, other than Netscape/Mozilla, is distributed under MPL/NPL?
-how many individual contributors/non-formal groups work under MPL/NPL?
-how many commercial entities participate in development of products
released under MPL/NPL?
-are there any precedents of opening a formerly closed product under NPL/MPL
(excluding Netcsape)?
-for products other than Netscape, is MPL text taken without modifications?
(it contains references to Netscape Corp.)
Differences between NPL and MPL are explained in Licensing FAQ at mozilla.org.
In brief, NPL, an older license, gives Netscape some exclusive rights over
the NPL'ed code.
Thx
