It is only 3GHz, but hook up a credit card size SSD and it performs a
lot better than just off the SD card. I'm using them to hook 8Tb SATA
disks onto a disk array and they do that job nicely. I think it is a
case that something has to be compromised on these small devices, but
equally they do perform some tasks more than adequately. In my case it's
the 1000BaseT that makes the difference over the Pi2, and what I'm now
looking at is augmenting the directory structure with a Firebird
database to speed indexing things on each node.
