Hello everybody.
As specified in http://www.firebirdsql.com/devel/engine/roadmap2006.html,
there is a high demand for point-in-time recovery, yet implementation is not
scheduled for either 3 or 3+.
In addition to no-loss recovery, redo log can provide significant
performance improvement in disk access by allowing separation of sequential
uncached writing of transaction log and random buffered writes and reads.
Both of the benefits seem to bring a lot of value in FB. Are there specific
plans for implementation?
