I'm not sure I follow, but

a) I can't see why with group commits a single client application
would be limited to 5 commits per second. AFAIU more frequent commits
would just be grouped.

b) Jim's reply to Pascalis seems to suggest this is the case. I still
don't get it. Many applications need more that 5
transactions/second...

Explaination needed.
