Nickolay and I have been discussing a new feature for Firebird --
Database Mirroring.

It would work at the page/system level and would support multiple slave
databases, which could be used for read-only (ie. Reporting) access.

We got the idea as a result of a presentation we received at our office
regarding some of the features of MS (Yukon) SQLServer, which will add a
new mirroring feature.
