I, for one, would find an immediate use for it. My current database
structure has multiple configuration/lookup tables which remain fairly
static, with relatively few dynamic 'data' tables. When duplicating the
database for new customers, I have to make a metadata backup first, restore
it, and then copy the static info from one db to another. Your proposed
modification would make my life much easier.
