The problem is in the engine I/O code itself.
Until the code is changed to use 64bit variables and I/O functions, the
fact that the filing system you are using supports 64bit I/O (ie.
terabyte size files) won't matter 2 cents.
By the way for those of you who are interested, the latest Firebird
sources include 64bit I/O support for Windows NT/2000 (NTFS), support
for *nix should be available soon.
