Hi
Just answering my own question here, which I sortof asked previously,
does interserver go direct or through 3050 to get the database?
Answer: it depends upon what server libraries you linked interserver
with (classic/super). classic gives a direct local access, super gives
a redirect through the 3050 port since it only knows about a remote
connection.
I haven't done any timing, but would expect a local connection to run a
little better than routing back through another process.
This is all linux of course not win32.
Cheers
