IMHO very ready, I have been using it since the first beta about a year ago,
and it is at least as stable/solid as 5.6, and seams to have performance
improvements (untested).

I am using it for an internal system, and am in the middle of Upsizing a
couple of customers systems from Oracle to IB6 <g>.

We are about to start to use it for a large web system after some positive
results from testing.
