Dear all,
To help me better synthesize my ideas (before drafting a disaster recovery
full/incremental backup scheme proposal later), and because I have played so
few with shadows, except on some very small test databases and monthes ago,
can you bring me answers to the following ?
a. Can I CREATE SHADOW on an existing populated database ?
Assumed answer : yes, which implies the engine brings the freshly created
shadow in synch with the DB.
b. So when I CREATE SHADOW, how is arranged the initialization
(synchronization) of that shadow with the DB ? Is this a concurrent process
with the normal engine operation or is the engine operation paused while the
synch. takes place ?
