I guess we could only treat Blob subtype text as a string. And
"treating as a string" means merely allowing literal string values in
insert (assignment) and comparison.

This would be the first time AFAIK that the _server_ cares about the
Blob subtype. It is currently advisory only, for clients to identify
different Blob subtypes for display purposes.
