Here's the problem as I see it. I'm running along,
fat, dumb, and happy, with my 15 5.6 databases.
Somebody says "here, try 6.0, it's free." So I
install 6.0 and bingo, none of my databases are
available. Now you say "oh but you should have backed
up all your databases before you installed 6.0."
And I'm back looking for my 5.x install disks,
licenses, etc.
The mechanism Jim described does not convert 5.6
databases to 6.0. All it does is let you use unconverted
databases, including backing them up so they can
be restored as 6.0 databases. Dialect 1.
