I don't know what you mean by "accurate caching", "bde", and
"data loss information".
Please clarify in greater detail.
If you mean cached updates, yes, IBO supports
that.
The IBO TDataset components are a BDE drop in
replacement.
I have no idea what "data loss information" is.

With Firebird you have full transaction
control.
