Subject Re: Connecting to non-local server

I guess I figured it out. There were IB services running on the machine, blocking FB and taking care of port 3050. Stopped those services and now it's OK.

I'm trying to connect to a FB 3.0 database. Using a cpLocal connection, all goes fine. But when I switch to TCP/IP and change the Database Path to MyServer:C:\path\mydb.fdb, I get the "connection rejected by remote interface" message.

If I use the 2.5 format of the same database and switch to FB 2.5, I can also connect via Local setting, but with TCP/IP I get "unsupported on-disk structure for file...".

I already checked the DLL versions being used in each case and every previous [IBO] message I could find, but with no success. The server and client are both the same machine, recently formatted.
