Sorry for not getting you a quick answer right away.
You put in here TIBQuery. but that is an IBX component.
I see the reference to TIB_Column, which suggests you are using TIB_Query.
I built a test case trying to get the same error to happen but I couldn't.
In every way IBO appears to be working properly.
Will you please give me more details if this still happens for you?
I would especially like to see the callstack of the exception.
