That sounds like something went wrong with the installer. I have put a log
and trace capability in the installer so that we can investigate such
matters. In the directory where you installed IBO there is a subfolder for
logs. Please find where it has the registry dumps and some plain text files
and let me know. Perhaps we should look at this and discuss it privately? I
tend to prefer a chat or voip session via Skype but I can accommodate other
methods if you prefer.
Thanks,
Jason

Subject: [IBO] Weird install?
Hi Jason,
I have an old Delphi7 installation on my PC, and a fresh XE5.
Now I downloaded the latest IBObjects (binairy installer) from your
website downloads.
I started it, it asked "shall I scrub away old stuff?" Or something
similar. Okay.
And it asked to install on both D7 and XE5, which seemed okay to me.
But now both on D7 and XE5 I have only a Interbase tab on the palette,
which doesn't belong to IBObjects, right?
No IBObjects, No core components like TIB_Cursor etc.
I must be doing something wrong?
(Windows 8.1)
tia!
John
