Perhaps you should look into using the Locate() method of TDataset?

I am using TIBOQuery to list all record in a TGrid (I used a TGrid because
I'm using firemonkey+LiveBind). Exist some way to do a search in my dataset
by field name. I need something like TIB_SearchEdit behavior.
