I'm sorry, but you seem to be misunderstanding something somewhere in the
process. :(
I'm not getting back "a BLOB_ID" in that RETURNING parameter, I'm getting
back a primary key value that came out of a generator. And when I close
down the program that ran the INSERT, and then later query the record from
FB Maestro, (doing exactly what you said,) what I see is a record that has
an ID value in the primary key, but nothing in the BLOB field.
