I suspect I will be hanging around here for some time yet.

This is about my fifth try at mastering Firebird and IBObjects and I am determined not to quit. I have the time to spare, retired, so will apply myself until I am comfortable.

In the past, when it got tough I would fall back to the conventional Delphi databases I was used to as I could whip out a project in no time with those.

However, the last project I worked on the relationships between the data was way too complex and I wasted a lot of time fudging ways to present stuff as I needed to. I knew SQL could have handled the situation much more easily. So now, kicking and screaming I am in this until I get it right.
